1. Lesson plan as a success tool for teachers

Imagen
a)   How useful is lesson planning for teachers?       Lesson planning is an essential tool within the teaching- learning process that helps teachers to teach pedagogical content in a classroom in a organized and effective way. The proper planning of the lesson planning will allow both teacher and student to achieve the objectives in an easy and safe way in a specific time. b)   What are the most useful parts in the lesson plan when teaching VYL? From our point of view, the most important things in lesson planning are: activities, teaching tools, time and objectives. Since if the lesson planning made by the teacher has these four things, the teacher would have everything essential to make a class easily and successfully. Planning a lesson, even if it is very simple, always has to carry these fundamental things, otherwise everything can go wrong when you are teaching in the classroom.   c)    What was your own experience with lesson plann...

2. Compare traditional teaching and online education.

Imagen
  a)   Compare the top ten traits of traditional teaching and online education.   The differences between online learning and traditional learning can be found by analyzing the key player and how technology and the internet has transformed their roles.     Teachers: They swicth from being transmitter of knowledge to being advisors, mediators and motivators. The traditional types of classes where teachers give lectures shifts to teachers acting more as counselors.     Students: The passive attitude of traditional teaching has evolved into active and engaging. They have moved from a listening model- where students listen to teachers.     Content: Audiovisual media and interactive resources define online education as opposed to hard- copy teaching materials.     Medium: Educational platforms allow studuents themselves to decide how they manage their study time, creating their own schedules based around their responsabilities and free ...

3. The Young Learner

Joel's opinion a)   Give a detailed explanation of what the children you know are like.     Hello! My name is Joel and I want to tell you about some children that I know. Also, I am going to tell you how children are like. Mainly, they are always happy with me and other people. Moreover, they like playing whatever game. Example: They enjoy to play soccer together. On the other hand, they are restless, and they get bored easil, but they like to participein the activities that carrry out in the class. b)   Compare and contrast the characteristics of the children  you know  to the ones   described   in the chapter.    On the chapter one The young learner of the book " Teaching English to Children". I read a lot of characteristics that children have according to the British philosopher John Stuart Mill. Example: They are often happy, they can talk about what they are doing, they can plan activities, young children are often happy play...

4. Listening, Oral Work, Reading, and Writing

Imagen
  a)      Describe how you would teach these skills. Which is the most difficult skill to teach? Contrast your ideas as a kindergarten teacher in El Salvador with the theory given in the books.         W e would teach those english skills , listening, oral work, reading, and writing in many different ways since each of them is so important to learn and practice as well. We would teach listening skill practicing with some audios, english songs, on the other hand, we would teach oral work, reading, and writing with some activities. Example: We would carry out some  comprenhension lectures or we would give students some activities that they must perform at home. b)      Which of activities featured on chapters 3 through 6 would you try in your classes? Why?        As a future teacher I would include them all in my classes since it is important that the child or the person who is learning a language ...

5. When things go wrong in class

Imagen
Look at the list of things that can go wrong in a class.    There was an internal disturbance.    There was an external disturbance.    The class went out of control.    An activity took too long.    You had extra time.    An activity did not work    An activity was too difficult.  Joel's opinion a)     Explain how you would deal with four of these situations.       If the class went out of control, I would carry out another kind of activity. Example: Some students get bored easily when something does not like them. I must change that activity for something else that like them, but the most important is that they understand. On the other hand, if an activity took a long time, I would perform the activity of different way since sometimes the activity does not understand so well, and students get bored fot that activity. I f an activity  did not work, I m...
